A guy can dream, no?
Run #5
Today’s run was a failure in the fact that I didn’t complete any of my objectives for the night.
I completed 2 miles in 16:30, as opposed to 16:34.
I completed 2.5 miles in 21:10, slower than yesterdays run at 21:02.
I completed 3 miles in 25:16, 16 seconds above my target time of 25 minutes.
Tonight was just not a good night for me. Maybe I need a break day to recuperate and try again the following evening.
Run #4
Once again, I did not beat my target time, but my overall times are improving.
My two mile run was completed in 16:34 as opposed to 17:01.
My 2.5 mile run was completed in 21:02 as opposed to 21:18.
I did manage to complete two of the three challenges imposed on myself yesterday, but I still cannot seem to complete the 2.5 miles in under 20 minutes. This is what I will be trying to improve on tomorrow, and on top of that I will be adding an additional .5 miles to my run, pushing it to 3 miles and possibly running for 25 - 27 minutes if this trend holds up.
I’ve also managed to continuously run for 3.5 miles without slowing to a power walk. My endurance is improving, and I intend to continuously pushing it until two mile runs are warm up sessions.
I also have to factor in the fact that in todays run I was wearing new attire: new shorts, a new workout shirt, and a new sweater to keep warm and increase sweat.
Tomorrows challenges are as follows:
Today, I have tasted defeat.
My goal for today’s run was to complete 2.5 miles in under 20 minutes. I didn’t complete that goal, but I did accomplish a few other goals. I completed my first mile in 7:55 minutes and my second mile in 9:06 minutes, a total of 17:01 minutes. I shaved off 9 seconds from yesterday’s run. Then I ran that extra lap, extending my time to 21:18 minutes, shaving off 54 seconds from yesterday’s run.
I also managed to break one of my walls today. Instead of stopping after completing a mile, I continued running and completed a second lap, finally stopping after running half the third lap. If I hadn’t stopped, my time would have been drastically different, and definitely something I will be working on in the coming runs.
Tomorrows challenges are as follows:
I also have to minimize the amount of stops I do and how long I maintain a walking stance, as well as walking speed. All of these factor into my time.
Went for a jog today. After completing my fourth lap I checked my timer. I had shaven 1 minute and 14 seconds off my run from yesterday. Yesterdays time was 18:24, and today’s run was 17:10.
I’m pretty proud of myself for that one, but I have to keep that up everyday. Since I still had some time left before my twenty minutes were up I decided to push myself a little more and run an extra half mile. I ended up pushing my time to 22:12 because I ended up not taking that extra lap seriously and walked most of it, contemplating just ending it with the fourth lap and visiting my friend, but I ended up not doing that.
Tomorrow’s run will include trying to finish two miles under seventeen minutes and running 2.5 miles under twenty minutes.
Decided to finally go for a jog tonight. I tried to time it using the stop watch on my phone, but the stupid thing didn’t have a lap recorder so I ended up accidentally restarting the timer after my first lap. I remembered what time I actually started so I’d know the total amount that I ran, but I wanted to keep track of each laps individual lap.
Anyway, I ended up doing four laps around the elementary school nearest my house and it took eighteen minutes of jogging/walking to complete these four laps. Each lap around the school is approximately 0.5 miles. So, tonight I ended up running only two miles in twenty minutes, which was my slowest running time in high school.
I’m going to be jogging everyday until I am capable of running three miles in twenty minutes, then four, or as many miles as I can under a certain time limit, or however much I can handle without stopping. I’ll just give myself different challenges every night so as to not fall into a mundane routine of one type of challenge.
I NOW SEE WHY EVERYONE IS SO INTO THIS SHOW ITS ONLY BEEN THREE EPISODES AND IM ALREADY FEELING SO HARD IT HURTS
When I heard the river, a dream of the ocean was enough.
Was enough.
When I heard the city, a dream of the country was enough.
Was enough.
Each day.
Each day in the cloud.
The rising sun.
The moon sounded better.
The rising sun.
I lie awake and moan for better.
The dream of love.
Oh, the dream of love seemed better.
The dream of love.
Oh, the dream of love that I’ve forgotten.
All day.
All day in the cloud.
All day.
All day in the cloud.
All day.
All day in the cloud.
All day in the cloud.
All day in the cloud.
In the cloud.
